Lip Blush-What to Expect!
What is Lip Blush?
Cosmetic lip tattoo is a treatment that involves inserting pigments beneath the surface layer of the skin in your lips, using an electric needle device. This can be done in several styles, from permanent lipstick to shape-perfecting pop of color, and can even camouflage scars. The semi-permanent lip color does fade and will require occasional touch-ups to stay fresh.
Why get Lip Blush?
Anyone who likes wearing lipstick but doesn't want the hassle of applying it multiple times a day can benefit from lip blush. Also women who want to add some volume to their lips, lip blush won't do as much as fillers but it will definitely make your lips look fuller! Lip blush is designed to warm up the color of the lips and even out their tone, and can be done on lips with fillers!
What does a Lip Blush tattoo treatment look like?
Consultation- We will discuss what shape and color you're looking for. We will outline your lips and make any adjustments you'd like to be sure it's the shape you want!
Pigmentation- Next we will get you numb, it's not going to be painless but I'll be sure you're comfortable! Once the numbing kicks in, tattooing starts. I will use a tattoo machine, and will do multiple passes over your lips to ensure full coverage and color deposit!
Touch-Ups & Additional Sessions
Just like all permanent make-up, lip blush is a 2-step process, at least. It takes several sessions to build up color and the more opaque you want it, the more sessions you'll need. So after your lips are healed (4-6 weeks) you should book a follow up appointment. Everyone's body and skin reacts differently so some people need more sessions than others.
Lip Tattoo Aftercare
After your session, your lips will need some extra care to heal properly! They'll go through several stages including swelling, peeling and fading. You will need to follow an aftercare routine for at least 10 days after each session.
Avoid: extreme exercise, tanning (sun or sunbed), make up on the area, excessive touching on the area, spicy or salty foods on the lips.
You must keep the lips moisturized that aids in healing until the peeling ends. Sticking to a schedule may be annoying but it'll give more even results and better retention.
